We’re excited to share that Fixably fully supports the latest version of GSX – Version 7. This update ensures seamless compatibility with Apple’s newest systems and introduces powerful new functionality to make repair operations even more efficient. Alongside the upgrade, we’re also launching two major enhancements that simplify key GSX workflows: GSX Part Returns and GSX Escalations.
GSX Part Returns – Manage the Entire Return Process in Fixably
Returning old parts to Apple is a standard but often time-consuming part of running an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP). With the new GSX Part Returns feature, Fixably now helps you manage the full return process directly from your workflow, from identifying which parts must be returned to tracking shipments and avoiding debit memos.
How it works
- Fixably automatically receives information from Apple on which parts need to be returned.
- Users can create return shipments directly in Fixably and add tracking details.
- Tracking information is automatically linked to the relevant repair orders – no manual data entry required.
Key benefits
- Financial protection: Avoid debit memos by returning parts within Apple’s required timeframe.
- Efficiency: Automate tracking and linking to orders, eliminating repetitive manual steps.
- Customization: Admins can configure timeframes (e.g., 7–14 days) to flag parts at risk of debit.
- Visibility: Easily see which parts have been returned with checkmarks in the parts section of each order.
- Mail-in repair support: Handle returns for mail-in repairs and shipments to third-party repair centers.
We are currently completing production testing, and the feature will be promoted to all customers shortly. Access will depend on your subscription plan.
GSX Escalations – Create and Manage Escalations in Fixably
The new GSX Escalations feature allows users to create and manage GSX escalations directly within Fixably, eliminating the need to use Apple’s GSX interface. Since escalations are often related to billing or order disputes, this improvement streamlines the process by integrating it seamlessly into existing workflows. Fixably will also pre-populate escalation forms based on the issue type, saving time and reducing errors. The feature is expected to go live by the end of November 2025, pending Apple’s release of new GSX endpoints.
